What you see -
Strawberry Fields is a playschool in Sector 24B in Chandigarh. It was established by Durga Das Foundation which started operations in 1991. The interiors of this playschool are perfectly designed and are child-friendly. There’s an expansive green area and a mid-sized swimming pool for children.
What you get – Strawberry Fields
follows the playway method at its school. Children in the age group of 2 to 4 years can get admission here. Registration forms are made available in the first week of January, so parents can get an appointment fixed with the Director by simply making a call to the school office.
There is no school uniform for playschool
kids here and parents need to make their own arrangements for transport. For playschool, the timings are from 9.30 AM to 12 PM and for nursery and lower kindergarten the school functions from 9 AM to 12.30 PM. Singing, dancing, story telling, dramatics and physical education are a part of their educational routine. A participatory approach is encouraged so that kids shed their inhibitions and are willing to learn and interact.
Teaching patterns are premeditated in such a way that they can facilitate children towards formal schooling. Class compositions are kept small so that teachers can give attention to all the children. The student-teacher ratio is 10:1. Facilities of library and swimming pool are also made available and special focus is given to parental involvement.
Our verdict -
Strawberry Fields is a playschool that comes across as orderly yet comfortable for kids. The playway method opted by the faculty to teach students is interesting. The school seems to be well-maintained. Parking space is available.
