What you see - Catch 22, located in Sector 22, at a walking distance from the street market (better known as the Rehri market) and just opposite the parking lot of Sector 22 near Kiran Cinema is a popular food outlet in Chandigarh. The restaurant has been popular for years, with its location being one of the reasons.

It is a neat and clean place which though looks small (a narrow passage with tables and chairs) has enough space in the rear end where more seating is available. The décor is okay and nothing much to boast about.

What you get - The dimly lit restaurant offers a variety of options when it comes to food. Basically it serves fast food like pizzas, burgers etc, apart from Chinese and South Indian. You can start with a chilling shake (Rs. 30) in summers or with a cup of hot coffee (Rs. 20) in winters. For lunch it’s good to try some South Indian delicacies like Vada-Sambar or Dosa here. Dinners are best for Fried rice with Manchurian, Chowmein or Chopsuey all for less than Rs. 100. We’d recommend a cheese sandwich (Rs. 50) or burger (Rs. 25) for in-between snacks or brunch. Pastries are available too.

Our verdict - The service is a little slow and the outlet remains crowded and noisy, possibly reflecting its popularity. Slow and soft music is often played here. Where the positive points are the restaurant’s location, its affordability and variety, its negative points include slow service, average food and a plain décor. That’s why, there aren’t any must-haves that we can list here. You can eat at Catch 22 and you may come back as well but only if you are in Sector 22 and a little low on your budget. There is nothing unique that the outlet offers. Parking space is available.
