What you see - Hotel Regency is located two kilometers from the bus terminal and eight kilometers from the railway station. It’s also just six kilometers from Chandigarh Airport thus making it ideal to reach. The hotel is located in a sector that is buzzing with activity (Sector 35) all through the week and has all the big brands and food joints. So it’s a great place for travelers visiting to shop and explore.

The four star hotel has neat and clean interiors. The centrally air-conditioned lobby is large enough to accommodate 18 to 20 people at a time. Magazines and newspapers are available if you need to wait. An STD facility is available as well. Done up in white, with glasses covering most parts of the walls and boasting of red leather sofas plus a few decorative plants, the lobby itself speaks of the hotel’s keen attention to detail. Soft music plays in the background making the wait easier.

What you get – Hotel Regency has 25 guest rooms and suites. They all follow a minimalistic approach in design. All rooms are centrally air-conditioned and also have the facility of central heating. Each room or suite has STD facility including basic amenities like cable TV, refrigerator, bathtub etc. Cold and hot water is available 24 hours and so is room service. The management is helpful.

The hotel also has a restaurant called Pink Pearl with 70 covers. It’s a multi-cuisine restaurant offering North Indian, Chinese, Continental and South Indian delicacies. The restaurant is huge. The best part about Pink Pearl is that they have live music or ghazals, making dinner a memorable experience.

They also have a coffee shop with 25 covers called Café Regency which is open 24 hours a day and serves snacks, fast food and mini meals. The shop is done up traditionally and doesn’t much look like a coffee shop. The bar called ‘Vintage Bar’ can accommodate 50 people. The decor keeps up with the interiors of the hotel. Their conference hall has the capacity of accommodating 200 people. So you can organize conventions, meetings, conferences or a marriage here. They have multimedia facility available but on request.

Our verdict - Hotel Regency is a four star hotel and has basic modern amenities. One can have a comfortable stay here. The hotel is neat and clean and is well connected to Chandigarh’s airport, railway station and bus stand. The staff is well mannered and friendly. Parking space is available.
