What you get - There are elevators as well as lifts that take you to the fourth floor of Centra Mall. Guards here are pretty strict about not letting the crowd in any before fifteen minutes prior to the show. They are also very particular about not allowing chewing gums, cameras, lighters, pocket knives, outside food etc into the theatre. 

 

The walls are adorned with film posters all around. Also, there are screens that play trailers of forthcoming films and new releases. There is enough seating space for people waiting for their movie to start. There are separate, well lit washrooms for men and women which are kept tidy and hygienic at all times. 

 

PVR Cinema screens Hindi, English as well as Punjabi flicks. It has four spacious screens with good seating capacity. All of them are done up in red and black. The seats are very soft and comfortable. The last row has recliner seats for extra comfort. There is enough leg room between two rows. 

 

When it comes to the food, PVR scores quite well. If the queue is long, and you fear missing the movie, you can ask for an ‘on the seat delivery’. All you have to do is order and pay for what you want. They offer plain and caramel popcorns, soft drinks, hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, chocolates and coffee. Everything is prepared well and presented neatly. Their offers and combos are value for money. There are two different eateries, with one offering hotdogs and sweet corns, and the other dishing out  French fries, chicken nuggets, chicken popcorns, spring rolls etc. 

 

The staff is cooperative. They even have a team of police officers on call. In case there are some people creating nuisance inside the theatre, the officers are called immediately who show them the way out. The films generally start on time without much delay. The first show starts around ten in the morning and the last show starts at 11.45 PM. The tickets are priced at Rs.175 which is not much for an unforgettable luxury movie experience. Our verdict - The movie experience at PVR cinemas Chandigarh is quite awesome. The multiplex gets a mix of young and family crowd. The staff is polite. Security is tight; so even if women opt for a late night show, it’s perfectly safe here. There is ample parking space with two basement levels of the mall assigned for the same.
