DLF Mall, a complete entertainment package
What you see - DLF City Centre mall or DT mall, as it is more commonly known is one of the most popular malls in Chandigarh. It is right opposite to the Infosys building in the IT Park. From the city, it takes about fifteen to twenty minutes to reach this shoppers heaven. Its location, overlooking the beautiful Shivalik range is itself a fascination for the crowds. The complete building has been done up in white.
What you get - At the entrance, the surveillance officers perform the security checks on every customer quite sternly. There is a separate security check section for women. The three-storey mall is huge and the interiors have been done up up well. Presence of popular international and Indian brands makes it worth a visit.

For sports lovers, they have brands like Harley Davidson, Reebok, Fast Track, Beverley Hills Polo Club, Wildcraft, Nike and Puma. There is a showroom of Meena Bazaar that exclusively deals in Indian wear. For ethnic wear, the mall has brands like ‘W’, Good Things, Biba, Cotton Curio and Global Desi. Stores like Madame, Chemistry, Isabelle, United Colors of Benetton, Levi’s, Alcott and Arrow offer a wide range of western formal and informal wear, as well as accessories. For your little munchkin, you could shop from Wonderland, Chicco, ELC, Gini n Jony, Kapsons Junior and Mother Care.
Looking for accessories? Your many options at DLF Mall include Harrvi Accessories, Naughty girls and Karigari. There is also a Tommy Hilfiger outlet that offers glares, watches and bags. For eye wear, there is an exclusive showroom called Optique. For men, there is Add Ons, an exclusive men’s accessory showroom. Shoe Tree, Bata and Woodland can take care of one’s footwear needs.
For the beauty conscious, there are The Body Shop and New U. If you want to pick up a gift, there is a good old Archies Gallery. OSIM is a store that sells body massaging equipments; their demo is itself quite relaxing. There are kiosks for fragrance and tattoos as well.
For kids’ entertainment, there is a trampoline section and a separate built-in play area replete with toys.
If hungry, you could head to Café Coffee Day, a resto bar called Black magic, an Indian restaurant Rajdhani, or the various kiosks of hotdogs, sweet corn, gelato, candies, popcorns etc. There is a food court called Eat, which has outlets such as Sindhis, Oven Fresh, Dominos, Moti Mahal, Subway, Froyo and Sandosham. To dine here, you have to purchase pre-paid coupons.
The second floor is most popular for the 3D multiplex called DT Cinemas. It has three screens and plays English, Hindi as well as Punjabi films. Its seating capacity is close to 800. There is a separate eatery inside, exclusively for the cinema crowd.
All the three floors have spacious and tidy washrooms.
Our verdict - DLF City Centre mall is one of the best malls in the city. The mall has plenty of brands to choose from. There are elevators and escalators to hop from one floor to other. There is multi-level basement parking available.
